Corey Colmey is a drummer, percussionist, and teacher who performs regularly with small groups of various genres in central NY. He has performed with Marc Seales, Don Grusin, Edan, Emanuel Agbeli, Abu Bakari, Rick
Montalbano, Mike Dubaniewicz, Joe Magnarelli, Victoria Vox, Nancy Kelly, The Rusty Doves, Will Calhoun & Jeff Palmer.
Corey give private lessons in his teaching studio located inside Gary's Music. He also operates Corey's Progressive Music Classes which offers music lessons and performing ensembles for all ages. Click here to learn more.
He is an adjunct professor at Utica College and Herkimer County Community College. He is also active in local community centers in Oneida, Rome and Canastota NY. In the past, Corey has served as assistant musical director at YMCA Center for the Creative Arts, and has been on faculty at Mohawk Valley Community College, North Shore Hebrew Academy, Holy Cross Academy, Mills Music, Music School Incorporated, Moore Brothers Music, Munro Music, and Don Bennett Drum Studio.
