press releaseCorey Colmey is a drummer, percussionist, and teacher with an an eclectic musical background in performance and education.  He performs regularly in all genres of music, and spends most of his time trying to creating something new, by working with original artists.  He has performed with Marc Seales, Don Grusin, Edan, Emanuel Agbeli, Abu Bakari, Rick Montalbano, Mike Dubaniewicz, Joe Magnarelli, Victoria Vox, Nancy Kelly, The Rusty Doves, Will Calhoun & Jeff Palmer.  

Corey give private lessons in his teaching studio located inside Gary's Music.  He also operates Corey's Progressive Music Classes which offers music lessons and performing ensembles for all ages.   Click here to learn more.

He is an adjunct professor at Utica College and Herkimer County Community College.  He is also active in local community centers in Oneida, Rome and Canastota NY.    In the past, Corey has served as assistant musical director at YMCA Center for the Creative Arts, and has been on faculty at Mohawk Valley Community College, North Shore Hebrew Academy, Holy Cross Academy, Mills Music, Music School Incorporated, Moore Brothers Music, Munro Music, and Don Bennett Drum Studio.

In his spare time, he creates simple websites for musicians and small businesses.  Check out the website section to learn more.  He also records & performs original music with independent artists all over the country.
